It started with a conversation.
Two friends. One confession. A feeling we couldn't keep to ourselves.
the confession
Still in the drawer
We were catching up like we always do. Coffee going cold. Talking about everything and nothing. And somewhere in the middle of it, she said something quietly almost embarrassed to admit it.
"I bought a choker a while back. Still in the drawer. I don't know why I never wear it. I just felt like… who am I to wear that?"
She's one of the most confident people I know. And she still felt like she needed permission.
I didn't say anything for a moment. Because I knew exactly what she meant. And I knew she was wrong.
"Who am I to wear that?" The most powerful question. And the most unnecessary one.
The pattern
everyone has that drawer.
A choker, a dress, a version of themselves bought meaning to feel a certain way, then never let out of the drawer. The more we paid attention, the more we saw the same quiet story: people waiting for permission that was never coming.
The power of a choker
It sits at your throat.
Here's what people don't talk about.
A choker doesn't sit on your wrist or hang from your ear. It sits at your throat. The most vulnerable, most electric part of you. And when you put one on, something happens that's hard to explain but impossible to ignore.
Your chin lifts. Your shoulders drop back. You take up more space without trying. The air around you changes and the people in the room feel it before they consciously register what shifted.
But there's something deeper. Something wordless and ancient that both people understand without saying.
The one wearing it feels powerful. Confident. Chosen. And at the same time deliciously, willingly exposed. There's a surrender in it. A signal. The most subtle invitation in the world.
And the one watching? Something wakes up. Their eyes change. Not because she looks different because she's saying something without words. Something that makes the air between two people feel charged in a way it hasn't in months. Maybe years.
And when it's the two of you one fastening it at the other's throat, a hand closing around the leash that ancient exchange comes alive. Power handed over. Power taken up. One wears it; one holds it. A language older than words, between two people who thought they'd run out of new things to say.
That's not an accessory. That's a shift in the entire dynamic of a room.
That charge between two people. That's what we wanted everyone to have. And to stop losing.
Why we built it
A charge worth keeping.
We've seen it work differently for different people.
For some it's that moment across the room their partner's eyes changing, remembering exactly why they fell. The spark routine had been quietly suffocating, suddenly back. Undeniable.
For others it's walking into a festival alone and feeling the energy shift the moment they arrive. Not when they do anything. Just when they show up. The room adjusting to them, instead of the other way around.
For some it's completely private. A Tuesday morning. Getting dressed alone. Deciding today is a day to feel dangerous.
The choker doesn't care why you need it. It just delivers.
And with couples, we saw it twice over. Some never even have the conversation wanting more, but not knowing how to say it without it sounding like a complaint. Others do have it, mean every word… and then life quietly wins. Work. Tiredness. The calendar. Not from a lack of love from a lack of follow-through, because keeping desire alive became one more thing to remember.
So we asked: why is this still something people apologise for? Why buy it in private, wear it hesitantly, leave it in a drawer waiting for permission?
And almost everyone hesitates for the same wrong reason: they think this is for a certain kind of person. The bold ones. The ones "into that." It isn't. This feeling is for everyone and it goes exactly as far as you want it to. A quiet hit of confidence under a work blouse, or a leash in your partner's hand. Subtle, or not subtle at all. You decide.
We didn't want to build another jewellery brand. We wanted to change the relationship people have with that feeling entirely and make sure it never slips back into the drawer.
Why monthly
A promise, kept for you.
Because the feeling was never meant to be a one-time event.
Desire fades. Routine is relentless. Life gets in the way, and suddenly months have passed and that version of you, the one who lifts her chin, takes up space, makes the air charge… she's still waiting.
So we built something that fights the ordinary on a schedule. You don't have to remember. You don't have to find the time. It just arrives dark, premium, discreet, always a surprise.
A promise to yourself, and to each other kept for you, every single month.
Because investing in your relationship, in your own desire, in the charge between you that should be the easiest yes you ever make. Especially when the work is already done for you. Built for anyone who's done waiting for permission.
